This week I am just so relieved with the way things have played out this week.
We've had a roller coaster of a week that involved a lot of hours spent at the pediatrician's office.
Tuesday night Nataleigh was tired & developed quite the cough, but seriously she looked so fine!
Seriously adorable & sassy!
Well Wednesday morning her cough was no better, and she had a low-grade fever. She even took an earlier than normal nap.
When she woke up from the nap, I knew something had changed.
Mamas just know with their babies.
I called our pediatricians, who we adore, and they got us in immediately. We've had a couple of scares with Nat and her breathing. Whenever she gets the least bit sick, her breathing goes haywire.
2 breathing treatments later and a dose of prednisone in office, and her oxygen stats were no better. Honestly, the doctor was fairly confident that we would be in the hospital, so we were sent home with a nebulizer, loads of medicine, and strict instructions to follow. Mandatory treatments every 4 hours just to try to stay out of the hospital.
The next day we went back to the office where her oxygen stats were not improving, so we had a chest x-ray and a nasty antibiotic shot!
But seriously is she not the cutest little thing?!
Today, my favorite things are the friends, family, and loved ones who have reached out and prayed for us all week. I'm convinced even more after this week that God puts exactly who we need in our lives for that moment. I'm thankful for the other two coaches who covered for me at practice Wednesday. I'm blessed with the family who have gone above and beyond for us. I'm so very thankful for a spouse who balances my worries perfectly all while letting me be Super-Mama, and who reminds me just how needed and loved I am.
This dose of Friday Favorites is basically an out-pouring of the gratitude in my heart. Continue to pray because even though Nataleigh is feeling some better I leave for a tournament in Knoxville this weekend. I know she and the boys are in fully capable hands, but this mama's heart is so torn. Thank you to everyone who has prayed for us!
Also, if anyone has tips for staying awake when you are running on fumes, I will gladly accept any help!
God bless, and happy weekend!
