Weekend Rewind

Happy Monday!
This was a weekend for sure.
It actually made me happy that Monday is here.
Current mood!

{Friday}

I mentioned Friday about our little health scare with Nataleigh, and I'm happy to report that she is finally starting to feel better. She's still quite steroid crazy.
#RoidRage
Since I hadn't been sleeping much, Joe graciously got up to take the boys to school. His school system was out due to the Bristol race being this past weekend.
He said that he figured I would want a picture of the boys, and boy was he ever right! These faces are the best!
He extra spoiled me with an iced coffee from Dunkin Donuts.
My go-to order is iced with extra cream & extra sugar, and on September 1st, I may cry when my $0.99 refillable cup expires!

I also mentioned last week that I would be in Knoxville for a volleyball tournament with our JV team! It was quite the chaotic weekend, and very little actually went as scheduled. One thing however was that the boys' needed haircuts, and they got them super late & thanks to Nana!
Once again, Wampler's Barber Shop hooked them up with some pretty sweet hard parts!
(Bunny ears not included)

{Saturday}

Teenage girls will be teenage girls, right?!
This weekend made me extra thankful for my children being young.
We had a situation happen, and I don't know if we could have handled it differently or better. It was scary for a minute, but it all worked out. Afterwards, I just had to share this with the other coaches because it was just too funny & too appropriate!
#awkward

We left Knoxville ready for more conference games this week, and we are definitely fired up!

{Sunday}

What a special day?!
Joe was asked to preach revival at Barberville Baptist Church again, and this had to have been the most special time. Joe is a pastor's kid, aka PK, and his dad pastored this church when he was Nataleigh's age. We had to snap a quick picture in front of the sign.
2 of my loves, & she is rocking that Chrysalis dress.
(even more about this dress later)

The boys stayed with Mimi & Popeye and went too their church, Trinity Baptist Church in Fairview, NC, so they could hurry back home for play time with their grandparents.
While at Barberville, Joe's close friend Kris Estep, current pastor @ BBC, handed Joe a fountain pen. This was so huge!
Last year, when Joe was at his lowest, he had given Kris this pen, and Kris told his wife Becky that every time he used the pen that he would pray for Joe. He prayed specifically for the time when Joe was back in ministry, so that he could give back the pen. People like the Esteps don't come around every day!
They are kind, wonderful people who just love as Christ loved. Also, today they asked Joe to dedicate their baby, Henry. It was just an extra special day with amazing people.
Joe preached about how we should respond when tough times hit us.
We know that we are either in a trial, getting out of a trial, or getting ready to go into a trial, so we need to know what the Bible says about how to handle those trials. The verse that stuck out to me was Psalm 46:10, "Be still, & know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations. I will be exalted in the earth."
To God be all glory, for great things He has done.
I hope this week treats you all so well.

xoxo
-Britt
