A Letter to My Husband

Joseph,

First, I love you so much, and I am so thankful that you are mine! Last night while laying in bed watching House Hunters with me, you jokingly suggested that I write a brag post about you, but one post wouldn't be enough. Today I want to write you a little love letter, and remind you how thankful for you that I am.

Life for us is busy, Jojo, and lately we are both being pulled in completely different directions. We are running here & there, to & fro. We are juggling so much that often we only have time for a quick conversation of how our days went. I love you so much for graciously picking up the slack these past few weeks. You have been such a constant rock in my life. You have kept me so grounded when I felt so unsteady. Also, my world has been rocked by events completely out of my control, and you have been so present. You listen when I need to just explode. You comfort me when I'm inconsolable. You support me 100% in every way. For these things, at this specific season of my life, I can never thank you enough!

This time last year was rough for us both. We were both in places that we never imagined or prepared for, and right now I'm so thankful that we chose to fight through those terrible days because now our foundation is stronger than ever. The past year has been challenging, and we've had more difficult days than easy, but our love has grown. That is a complete testimony to the graciousness of our Savior. He is so good. He knew 12 years ago that we would be here. He knew that you would be snoring away in bed while I was crying tears of gratitude that I can pour my heart out to you on this little blog. God is so good!

Joseph, I am so much more in love with you today than ever. It has been quite the ride thus far, and I cannot wait to see what the rest of life has for us. I want to tell you thank you so much. I want you to know that marriage isn't always the easiest thing, but loving you is so easy. You are my absolute best friend, and I cannot wait to see what the next 50 years will hold for us!

-Britt
