It is the first Friday in November, so today I want to share 5 things I am thankful for right now!
If you've been following our blog for any length of time, then you know that these are my people, and I am their's! Thankfully God gifted us with these three bundles of pure joy, and I couldn't have hand-picked better, more beautiful babies for Joseph & me! Speaking of Joseph, I'm so thankful for my spouse. He's a man who loves & serves his Christ daily. It hasn't always been the easiest, but those difficult days have made these easy ones so much sweeter. I'm blessed that we intentionally choose each other, and we have Christ as the center of our marriage. No marriage is perfect regardless of what they show on Facebook or Instagram. Our's is flawed, but it is surrendered to the One who is perfect!
I surrendered my life to Christ as a child, and I married a Southern Baptist minister. My faith has been front & center for a while, and instead of portraying myself as some kind of perfect Christian, I openly admit I have flaws, fears, and insecurities that I deal with daily. Thankfully, my faith includes the Holy Spirit who helps me deal with these struggles. My faith reminds me that regardless of my situation that I am never alone! My darkest days produced some of the strongest roots, and for those roots I'm beyond thankful!
This one has been a struggle for me. I've been burned like few has by "friends," but God, in His glorious splendor, healed my heart of those wounds. When the rubber hit the road, those true-blue friends stuck like glue, and those fake friends fell by the wayside. People I never imagined life without quickly disappeared, and God alone had to heal that. And boy, did He ever!
I still feel guarded sometimes, but the friends that are in my daily life are AH-MAZING! I've forgiven and moved on so much, and I want only the best things for the people in my life as well as those that were pruned from my life. Just a reminder that pruning your garden is healthy!!
These amazing women, and several more that I don't have pictures with right now, mean the absolute world to me!
This beautiful place where I was raised has quickly helped to restore my soul.
I was born in Northeast Tennessee, and shortly after we had Stephen, our ministry was called to Gastonia, NC. After several years & some headaches later, I made the difficult decision to move back home, and it was the best decision ever. I've been blessed to travel and see a lot of the US, but Tennessee will ALWAYS hold a chunk of my heart.
Home Sweet Home to me!
When we started this blog, I was super apprehensive, but now I am so thankful for this little hobby. We are so thankful for the people who continue to pray & support this. I shared HERE about why I blog, and those reasons haven't changed one iota. I love how blogging and planning posts allows me to stay creative. I love that I get to create a digital scrapbook of my family, and I can, through technology, share it with y'all!
Today we are linking up and sharing with Andrea, Erika, and Narci for their Friday Favorites link-up!
