...Ten Things...

So there are some unspoken rules in ministry, and my absolute favorite unspoken rule is that you ALLITERATE EVERYTHING!
I mean, if you cannot think of a word to alliterate in your message, then it cannot have been from God. Can I get a witness?! Those Baptist PWs know exactly what I'm talking about!
Well, in the spirit of that rule I want to share Ten Things on Tuesday that I'm praying on for Nataleigh!
(See what I did there?!)

~one~

Remember Whose you are!

My sweet Nataleigh, you are the daughter of the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. By being His, sweet girl, nothing is impossible for Him.
"But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light."
-1Peter 2:9

~two~

Never, ever let anyone make you question your worth

Darling daughter, to me you are the most beautiful, sweetest girl that I've ever known. I truly believe that God broke the mold when He made you. Please never let anyone make you question how valuable you are.
"She is far more precious that jewels."
-Proverbs 31:10

~three~

Be brave

Nothing great ever comes from staying inside your comfort zone. Dream those dreams that scare you a little.
"Be strong & courageous. Do not fear or be in dread of them, for it is the Lord your God who goes with you. He will not leave you or forsake you."
-Deuteronomy 31:6

~four~

Accept the glorious mess that you are

None of us, no matter what our Facebooks or Instagrams may tell, are perfect. The sooner you understand that you are perfectly flawed by God & for Him!
"You are fearfully &wonderfully made."
-Psalm 139:14

~five~

Choose JOY!

Whether you are in a season of happiness or sorrow, choose joy! Understand that God uses all things to work together for good! Knowing that will help you see the good in every situation, good or bad!
"Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds, for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness."
-James 1:2
Choose JOY regardless of your situation!

~six~

Be kind

It's simple.
Treat everyone as your equal. Be the kind of friend that you want them to be to you, and don't act out when your friends treat you badly. Remember that some friends are for a season, some are for life, and some are for a reason!
Not everyone around you is your friend. Always be kind and friendly regardless of their behavior!
"Oil and perfume make the heart glad, and the sweetness of a friend comes from his earnest counsel."
-Proverbs 27:9

~seven~

Have faith

When those seasons of sorrow & doubt come, give your cares to God & go to bed!
Write down your concerns. Pray over them, and trust that God has a plan.
"For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope!
-Jeremiah 29:11

~eight~

Be honest

Once trust is lost, it is never fully restored. Tell the truth because that shows the person that you respect them even if the truth may disappoint them.
There is very little that is worse than a liar. Thieves can take things from you, but you never truly know where you stand with a liar. You don't want to be known as someone who cannot tell the truth either!
"Whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worth of praise, think about these things."
-Phillippians 4:8

~nine~

Don't be a people pleaser

Please, my sweet girl, do not sacrifice your own walk with Christ or your obedience to God to please the people around you. No one person is worth losing fellowship with the Holy One.
"And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved."
-Acts 4:12

~ten~

Be Silly: Sing, Dance, & Laugh often

You are not called in this life to be discouraged, disappointed, and dismayed [more alliteration]. He has called us to be more than conquerors that proclaim His goodness.
"Let them praise his name with dancing, making melody to him with tambourine and lyre!"
-Psalm 149:3
"I will praise the Lord as long as I live; I will sing praises to my God while I have my being."
-Psalm 146:2
"For you, O Lord, have made me glad by your work; at the works of your hands I sing for joy."
-Psalm 92:4
"...O Lord my God, I will give thanks to you forever!"

Lord, I pray today for this sweet girl that you entrusted us with. I pray that she grows into a strong, confident Christian woman. May she always be kind, genuine, and honest. Lord, guide her paths as she travels this world. This world is getting more and more hostile & uncertain, but Lord, may You be the Constant and the Rock in her life. Let her see You in me. Let her know how much we love her. She is truly a good & perfect gift from You, and we thank You for her. Lord, we trust in You and Your plan for Nataleigh's life! May You be glorified through her and her life! All of these things & more we ask in Your holy name.
-AMEN
