Blogger Recognition

Happy Tuesday, y'all!

I was so honored yesterday when Erin @ Perfectly Port recognized me as one of her #KOKOTribe members.
{Keep On, Keeping On Tribe}

Today I've been challenged to share my why behind blogging, some encouragement to other bloggers, and well as nominating several bloggers that I love to read!

My Why

Last year I shared HERE a little about my why I blog, and even though I'm a little further along in this blogging experience, most of the reasons behind my blog are still the same. It's been a wonderful ministry extension for us, and honestly it has given me my voice back. I completely feel as though I have my voice back fully, and it is so liberating! As a mom, wife, daughter, etc. we lose our voice and our identity so often. This blog allows me to be expressive, creative, open, and honest with people who I know as well as those that I don't know! Today, almost a year later, a HUGE reason behind my blog is that I LOVE it! I truly look forward to sharing with this great big world all about my sweet little family. I also love the creative behind writing! Thank goodness for the technology to take a small girl from a small town in Tennessee & let her share her opinions and life with so many! It's great blessing and outlet for me.

My Advice

A huge tool that I've implemented in my blogging arsenal is my planner. I try to map out every potential link-up and post for the month, but I know that God may lay it on my heart to share something else. Having that preparation ahead of time saves so much irritation with writer's block. Writer's block is a real thing, and it's a super frustrating thing.

Another bit of advice is to stay consistent. Just like any habit or hobby, consistency is key. I've found that maintaining some sort of routine with my blog is best, and I know, as a blog reader, that I am more invested in those blogs and bloggers that are consistent.

One last piece of advice that I have for future or new bloggers is to be honest. In my life, I gravitate to honest people. I cannot stand a liar or someone who twists and turns the truth to fit their delusion. Be honest and open with your audience. Authenticity is something our culture and world desperately needs!

My Favorites

Jessica @ Life. Love. Reality Oh my goodness! Jessica is a blogger I've found through numerous link-ups as well as on Instagram. She and her family are so stinking cute!

Jenna @ Tractors and Glam I love this girl and her blog. She's become such a dear friend and inspiration. Her family is adorable too!!

Jennifer @ The Bolin Bunch Another beautiful mama with beautiful babies! She has a busy life, and she's such an inspiration!

Rhonda @ Morning Coffee @ the Well Fellow Christian mamas...y'all need to check this girl out. She has a gift with words, and she shares some beautiful devotions!

Natasha @ Hello Happiness a fellow Tennessee blogger with a keen eye for fashion. Natasha is someone you should follow for sure!

April @ Smidge of This I found this beautiful southern mama through a link-up, and her family is just too cute for words!

Kayla @ The Midwestern Mom I followed this fashionable mama on Instagram for a while, and she is just such an inspiration with a super adorable family!

Maegan @ The Modern Tulip A local East Tennessee mama who owns a YUMMY ice cream-food truck! { @mimiscreamery} Her family and business are just the cutest!

Narci @ Grace & Love Blog I love Narci. I love how real and open and honest she is about her family, business, and life! A mama who loves her babies and Jesus so much!

Lesley  My sweet sister-in-law is one heck of an investigator of all things, and she's recently started digging into her family's history and heritage. I cannot wait to see what she finds. {Send her some encouragement}

I'm so thankful for the opportunity to share my love of blogging and bloggers with y'all! Thank you Erin for being such an encourager and just wonderful friend! I'm blessed that God chose you to be in my life!

Keep on, Keeping on, mama!!

-Britt

  1. Congrats on the award- I 1000% agree about the honesty part. I think some bloggers promote products just for the freebie or to get the affiliate kick back.

  2. Thank you so much! I love that blogging has brought us together. Seriously, I look forward to stopping by here each day! And you are so right about your why. As a mom and wife, sometimes it is really easy to lose a little bit of your identity and this has given it back and is a little outlet.
