The Hensley 5 had an absolutely wonderful long weekend, and today we are loving life together while celebrating Independence Day. We seriously didn't want to come home, but, alas, we did! Tomorrow I'm going to share ALL about our amazing time together, but today I want to share a quick pasta salad recipe & the cutest cake ever that I grabbed for our cook out today!!
Quick Pasta Salad
1 English Cucumber
1 Bell Pepper
1 Bag (2 cups) of shredded cheddar cheese
2 eggs (hard-boiled)
1 Container of Cherry Tomatoes
1 bottle of Italian Dressing
1 Bag of Wacky Mac noodles
Boil noodles according to the bag. While pasta boils, chop the produce into bite-sized pieces. Toss it all together in a big bowl. Chill overnight in the refrigerator. The longer this chills, the better it gets.
It's seriously the easiest, quickest, and our extended family just gobbles it up!
Also, while I was grabbing all of the ingredients for the pasta salad, I found the cutest cake ever!!
A cheeseburger cake!!
Oh em gee!!
I mean, doesn't every cookout need a cheeseburger cake?! I think yes!!
It's a chocolate cake with yummy icing, and I found it at Wal-Mart...for $7!!
It was a total steal, and I hope it tastes as cute as it looks.
Happy Independence Day, or as a cute little local cafe shared on their bulletin board...Happy Brexit 1776!!!
Today is such a reminder of that freedom that Christ offers to us through His sacrifice.
Live in the freedom that He offers.
Freedom from sin. Freedom from shame.
