Weekend Wrap-Up

Happy Monday Everybody!!

It was quite the weekend for the Hensley 5. The boys started school today, so we spent the weekend preparing for the new school year.

Friday we loaded up the kids and headed to Asheville really late, so we could get up in the morning and finish grabbing the things the boys needed!

We basically hit the Under Armor & Nike stores to clothe our boys!
I've just come to the conclusion that there is no point arguing with them anymore. The constantly look as though they are ready to be subbed into any athletic competition at every point of the day, and y'all this mama is done trying to dress them cute. Thank goodness I still have that girl to dress up!
We did find a couple of things for ourselves too, and this little necklace that I got for free {coupon code} from Banana Republic is definitely a new favorite. I don't normally wear a lot of jewelry, but this looked like the perfect little almost fall piece!

After we shopped, we decided to grab a yummy bite to eat at one of our favorite spots....
Lettuce wraps for the WIN!!

While we shopped, the kids spent the morning/early afternoon with Popow & Mimi. They had such a fun morning 'working.'
{Cleaning the car, working on the fridge, etc.}

We grabbed them, and then headed back down the mountain in time to test drive a vehicle.
I shared last Monday that we were starting the car shopping process, and we've found one that we love.
Hopefully it'll all work out in the next couple of days because this mama is super excited!

Sunday was for church, sunshine, and relaxing!

Oh...and this ahhhhh-mazing bow that is a MUST HAVE!!
I mean, give me all the denim!
And I think the next Bow Box from One Stop Bow Shop has a denim bow in it.
{Go pre-order that box right now...well after you finish reading this post}

Something crazy happened while at Olive Garden for lunch too. The restaurant ran completely out of bread, and our server was kind enough to bring us the LAST basket of bread. They were having to run out to other Olive Gardens to restock because the lunch rush was that insane!
{yes our Wellie Wishers eat with us}

The boys got back-to-school haircuts, and I must say that they are just too adorable. Look out 2nd & 4th grade, those Hensley boys are about to rock it!

A little back 2 school prayer for those precious kiddos starting back to school!

One thing I love doing periodically throughout the boys' school year is to leave little notes in their lunch boxes, so I whipped up some printable verses that made me think of my sweet boys.

  1. Love those printables and Solon dresses the same way every single day for school. I figure its a long day, might as well be comfy! Sounds like a super fun weekend. Can't wait to see what car you picked! xoxo ERIN

    1. It was a productive weekend for sure, and I totally can understand the comfort aspect of the outfits! They looked cute too! :)

  2. I love that back to school prayer. LOVE it. I also have a boy who dresses the exact same way! He HATES wearing pants of any kind so winter is a lot of fun! Hahahaha.I hope your kiddos have a great first week of school. I will be thinking of you all!

    1. Boy mom problems!!! Under Armor makes athletic leggings for boys to wear under shorts! :)

    2. That's what my boys wear under their shorts! I've got 4 boys (5,7,9,11) and they dress in athletic clothes ALL the time too.
