Friday Favorites: 2017 Edition

Oh my goodness gracious!
Can y'all believe that this is the last Friday of 2017?!

2017 was such a fun, wild ride for the Hensley 5, and today I'm sharing a recap of the year!

Grab a BIG cup of coffee or tea, and join us for this photo recap!

We rang in 2017 in Nashville, TN, and it was just the most fun celebrating the New Year, Nataleigh, & my JoJo!!

It was a month of ups and downs, but the love and laughs far out-numbered the stressful moments!

We snapped some pictures in the cutest mini-session ever!
mommy & me & Matilda Jane!
 Carson lost teeth!!!
We met up with some of our favorites on a road trip back to North Carolina!
 We school-projected it up!
I celebrated my 32nd birthday with a nice date night with my man!

We rocked our 4-year check-up & those dreaded Kindergarten shots!
Fresh hair cuts & blue steel
And even more basketball tournament wins!

In April we headed to Atlanta to celebrate our nephew, Camden, turning 8!

We also enjoyed the sunshine on Opening Day for our baseball cutie!
 Palm Sunday

We also celebrated my sister's birthday with a fun night of bowling!!

May rounded out another wonderful school year for the boys, Nataleigh's first year of dance, and baseball for Carson!
End-of-the-year field trip fun!

 Dress Rehearsal
 Tiny Dancer!

And the last day of school!
Looking at this picture, I first notice pure exhaustion!
Mom life was tough in May, because Stephen got super sick with pneumonia!

He spent several days in the hospital because his poor lungs just weren't functioning well. Thankfully God's hands were all over this boy, and our family was just AMAZING because there was a lot of shuffling during this trying time!
I shared all about his stint in the hospital HERE!
He's healthy as ever, & he's busier than ever!

May also saw us enjoying some pool time with our best buddies!

We also celebrated my Poppy's birthday & Mother's Day!

We kicked June off with our favorite basketball camp!
And while the boys played all the basketball they could, Nataleigh went to Pigeon Forge, TN for the big state pageant, where she won the overall title of Cinderella Tot!

What a whirlwind weekend that was, and I shared all about it!
The boys also wrapped up a little VBS at our church with a balloon release!
We celebrated Mim's birthday

And Ally's birthday!

We hit the road for new headshots & dinner with friends from Gastonia!

Joe also got ever buffer & beefier!

July brought us fundraising, family movie days, a beach trip with our friends, Carson's 8th birthday, and a BIG trip to Dallas, TX!

Oh we also survived volleyball two-a-days, barely@

We soaked up the last days of summer!
Sent the boys to school!

Started gymnastics!

I also took a big trip to Disney with my volleyball girls!

And we ended the travel basketball season with a trip to the Rocky Top Sports World!

Nataleigh started her rounds of appearances and prelim work at the Unicoi Prelim!
And Stephen hit double digits!!
My heart!!!!

We ended a magical volleyball season!
So proud to have been a part of this season!
 Pumpkin patched!
hit a deer, and Halloweened HARD!

November brought us long over-due family pictures!

my favorites!
A quick trip to celebrate Sarah-Anne

And so much family fun at Thanksgiving!

One boy was a Homecoming escort!
The other kicked off a new season of travel ball!
This little girl lived her best life during the Cinderella Christmas Weekend!

We loved the surprise snow day!

 Saw the big guy!

 Went blonde!
And refused to grow up!

When I look back at this year, I'm reminded that His mercies are new each morning. We made it through some pretty dark nights, and yet we did it together & laughing!

I cannot wait to see what 2018 has in store for the Hensley 5, and I am so thankful that you, dear reader, has stuck with us another year!

Here's to 2018 & to you!
