Oh. My. Heart!!
Our sweet princess, Nataleigh, turns 5 today.
She has been obsessed about this day for so long. I swear we've been counting down to 5 since she turned 4 last year, and I don't know of a child more excited about being "one whole hand" than Miss Nataleigh Hope.
Today is her day, and today I'm sharing just a little bit about our littlest one with the biggest personality!
She's an absolute firecracker!
There is nothing, and I mean NOTHING, boring about this child. She wakes up as early as possible, and she is ready-to-conquer the world!
This one has spoken on stage in front of huge crowds without flinching. She's went through it big time this summer while fighting pneumonia. She loves roller coasters & big slides. And she's tackled each obstacle with a huge smile on her face & a spark in her eyes!
She's such an inspiration!
She's BEYOND social!
She's a girl's girl, and she loves to make new friends. Everyone she meets is her 'new best friend.' You will not meet this girl without her wanting to be your best friend too!!
There has to be a word beyond 'sassy,' but I cannot think of it. She isn't afraid at all to voice her opinion at all, and she is constantly twirling to her own beat.
I. LOVE. IT!!
Her brothers are her heroes, and she is their princess!
Even though they may fight like cats & dogs, these three are fiercely protective of each other, and the way that these boys fight for their sister is amazing to watch. We can already imagine the grilling that will take place when she gets permission to date.
(God bless that poor boy)
She's magic, I swear.
She truly believes in unicorns & mermaids, and she will convince you of their existence without a care in the world. She dreams of cotton candy clouds & dancing on rainbows, and she just brings so much sparkle & magic to our lives.
She's beautiful beyond belief, but her kind heart is even more beautiful!
She really is like having my very own Disney princess!
"Where there is kindness there is goodness, and where there is goodness there is magic."
Her daddy is wrapped!
And he doesn't care who knows!
This little one has stolen that big, strong man's heart, and he's so proud of that fact!
She restored so much of my broken heart.
After years with my two precious boys, and then the heartbreak of our miscarriage, I would be lying if I said that I thought a daughter just wasn't in my cards. It just didn't seem that it would happen for us, and yet God, in His great goodness, saw us fit to have a beautiful daughter. The indescribable joy that she has brought us these past five years is incredible. She restored so much of my hope that He not only knows what we need, but He also hears our petitions, even if those wants are prayed through tears & doubt.
I could never put into words just what this petite bundle of pure sugar means to us, but I must say that if you are lucky enough to know her, then you know this and so much more. Today she turns FIVE, and even though my mama heart is breaking, it's even happier because I've been given the opportunity to spend the last 1,826 days as her mom!
Happiest of birthdays to you, Nataleigh Hope. Our princess forever! You have made your mom, dad, and brothers beyond happy each and every day. You challenge us, & you've changed us. Your positive outlook at every situation is inspiring. You have brought us more joy than we could have imagined. Today we celebrate you & everything you are. Thank you for loving us so much. We love you more than the stars in the sky, and you know that's a whole bunch!!
Mom, Dad, Stephen, & Carson!
