Oh how I'm ready for this week to be over!
Anyone else out there?!
Nataleigh has been super, duper sick this week, and it's taken quite the toll on all if us.
It started Monday night with a cough, and in the early hours of Tuesday morning she spiked a high fever. My first thought was that we had our first signs of the flu in the Hensley house, and with the state of the current flu epidemic, I was a ball of anxiety.
Tuesday she was tested for everything, and all tests came back negative. Our doctor's office planned on seeing us again because she was so sick!
By Wednesday morning, she still had a high fever, a nasty cough, and a more prominent wheeze in her lungs. Mama was in sheer panic mode, but I was also running on adrenaline & caffeine alone.
We went back to the doc's office for more tests because if it was the flu or strep or mono, then it would surely be pinging positive by now.
Everything was negative still, but her lungs warranted a chest x-ray. If you've followed this blog long enough, then you know my girl is a chest x-ray champion. She had a nasty bout with pneumonia over the summer, so I was super worried.
Her lungs, white blood cell count, and overall symptoms are pointing to a nasty viral infection, and we are praying that it stops there! I cannot even bear the idea of another round of pneumonia with this little girl.
Now we are praying for a night of rest for all of us, so that this sweet girl can get better faster.
It only took 2 days spent in pjs in mama's bed with a new LOL Doll to open to get this sweet girl to smile for the first time all week.
