Friday Favorites {4.6.2018}

It's Friday of the longest & shortest week of my life.
Life has flown by this week, but we've had SOOOOO much going on that Monday feels like it was a month ago.
Some of my favorite posts to read are those where mamas & bloggers share some of their current favorite products, and I thought I would share some of my favorite hair products. Of course I have to share a few totally random favorites for this insane week, but first a few of my favorite hair products.

Everyone has hair struggles, but I'll happily share with y'all my struggles. I have super, duper fine hair that rarely holds curl, and it has zero texture. I'm also extremely hair-illiterate, so it's gotta be simple for me! These are the products I've found that help me a little!!
 When I decided to lighten my locks, I was told to grab the purple shampoo to extend my color without it turning brassy. My friend gave me this Paul Mitchell shampoo, and it's so good. I love the way my hair feels after I wash it with this shampoo.
I also grabbed this weekly conditioning treatment for blonde hair, and it works so well to keep my hair super moisturized. I wash my hair twice a week, and depending on how it feels after shampooing and conditioning, I may use this twice. I hate when my hair feels brittle, and a little of this treatment really helps!
Nothing I hate more than blow-drying my hair, but a dab of this balm really helps. It's also pretty inexpensive, so win-win in my book!
This shaping spray is my go-to. It holds the best without leaving my hair feeling stiff.
My new favorite product!!
This stuff is amazing. It gives my hair texture that I lack, and it smells divine!
Grab it now!!

Now for a product I don't love..
I recently tried this dry shampoo, and I'm not a fan. The smell is by far the best, but it does very little for my hair. Dry shampoo is my life-line, so it needs to hold. I will happily sprint back to my favorite Batiste Dry Shampoo

Yes, ma'am!

Okay now for the random favorites for this week:

Kindergarten Evaluations

Oh my goodness!!

Our school had a "Bear-y Brave" set up that was just darling! Nothing makes my princess feel more at home than hanging out with Merida!!
One of Nataleigh's best buds, Kinley, also starts Kindergarten this year. These two prove that opposites attract, and they are just precious together. We have everything crossed that they will end up in the same class because they even each other out so much. Kinley is the calm to Nataleigh's wild. Nataleigh is the extrovert to Kinley's introvert, and they just make it work so well together!

Friends Day

I shared HERE Wednesday all about our Monday. It was just what we needed to wrap up a relaxing Spring Break. It was the perfect amount of fun & laughs with one of our favorite families!

Dandelion Wishes

While the volleyball girls worked out, Nataleigh spent her time making wishes on every single dandelion at the school!

I think she wished for a kitten, a rainbow, and a sparkly mermaid tail while the girls ran, and it was just the cutest thing ever! Anyone else have a little girl out there who loves these wishes?! The only thing better is the bouquet she proceeded to pick from the yellow dandelions!
{mama's heart was completely melted}

Stephen's Project

He had to do a creative project for The One and Only Ivan. Stephen loved this book so, so much. The story really affected him & stirred up a lot of conversations about conservation & animals, and he chose to make a billboard advertising Ivan!
It turned out super cute, and he had full direction. I was just the super gluer because I bought crazy glue, and that stuff is just insane!

This weekend I'm heading to Asheville, to the Billy Graham Training Center, with our youth for their Youth Camp, and I'm so excited. It's always exciting to watch teens praising Christ, and I cannot wait to go. I do ask that you remember us in your prayers this weekend as big, life-changing decisions will be made. We ask that the Lord lead as He wants, and we will give Him all the praise & glory for His goodness, grace, and mercy!

Happy Weekend, friends!

Can't wait to catch y'all up Monday!!

  1. That anti-frizz cream sounds awesome. Yay for friends day! What a fun idea

    1. It’s at a really good price point too, so yay!!

  2. What a fun line-up of hair products. I was just looking for a new shampoo. I am trying Pantene pro-v after a really bad OGX shampoo experience. I am going to try this next. xoxo ERIN

    1. I hate spending a lot of money on shampoo because I feel like it literally goes down the drain, but I have learned that my hair is healthier & I get so much longer from my cuts & colors if I use better products. I also use less than I feel like I use with cheaper products.

  3. Britt! I LOVE this list of favorites! I have been keeping you in my prayers this weekend. I can't wait to hear about the conference. I am also a Batiste girl myself and can't get enough. Happy Monday Mama!

    1. Thanks so much! It was definitely a long weekend, but it was so worth it! Sharing about it later!

  4. Such a great post with a bit of everything! I love the hair tips and will look out for some of these in TK Maxx (where you can find quite a few American brands) - no sure if you have that store in the States? I re-discovered the joys of dry shampoo this weekend (Batiste) - I love the fact you can just get up and get out the house. It is a revelation - hadn't used it for YEARS. Forgot the sense of liberation.

    1. Dry shampoo is my life-line! Batiste is the best for the price for sure, but I just love trying new products. We have TJ Maxx here, but I'd love to shop in the UK, just to see the difference! Enjoy your week!
