Friday Favorites {12.14.2018}

Happy Friday, y'all!

This week has been a completely abnormal week for our family due to snow + doctor appointments, but guys, the kids are going back to school today!
{All.The.Praise.Hands}

If you need me this weekend, I'll be happily (& busily) getting all the things ready for Christmas. I normally do the shopping and prepping at my grandparents' house while the kids are in school, but the 9+ inches we got Sunday & Monday changed my plans big time!

Today I'm sharing a totally random post of things I'm loving right now.

Snow day pictures.

EEK!
The Hensley kiddos loved it, and they really loved being out of school almost all week most of all. I shared HERE more about the fun we had in the snow. We still have so much snow, which is wild, and it's made for a lazy week for us.

I have been really trying to keep up with the Blogmas challenge of blogging every single day leading up to Christmas, but this week we had flickering power at times & not a lot of inspiration. I did, however share another Sunday Set-List (on Wednesday), and this song is seriously one of the best!
So, so good!!

I first shared in this little mini series of posts about our absolute family favorite praise & worship song..for the moment!
Goosebumps every single time!

I have another song ready-to-go this Sunday, and it's another great one!!

While we are talking about this week's posts, my friend Jennifer asked me to join her while she tests her link-ups, because she has a fun link-up series planned with another sweet blogging buddy of mine, Jenna, and I cannot wait to link-up with these awesome friends!

This week she had me reflecting on Christmas memories, and I loved looking back to last year!

So much fun!!

Wednesday night at church, our middle schoolers had an Ugly Sweater/White Elephant party, and Stephen had the best time ever with his friends.

Well they smiled and looked adorable for a few minutes!!
Love these sweet, silly kiddos so much!

Stephen walked out of the White Elephant Exchange pretty well off..
These slippers and a matching pillow were his gift!

Seriously, we saw one little girl who's gift included gas-x & left-over donuts!
LOVE our church!!

[FIVE]

Tuesday we headed to my grandparents' house where the boys worked hard. They ended up helping my Poppy try to shovel his driveway, so he could get his truck out.

They had the best time helping him, and it took a lot of work off of my grandfather.

And this boy is so big now that we wear the same size shoe, so he got to wear my Hunter boots to work & play in the snow!

{Thank goodness they are the classic hunter green matte color, right?!}

[SIX]

I mentioned earlier that we had two doctor appointments this week, so much of my week looked like this...

Monday, Nataleigh went to her pulmonologist for a follow-up breathing test. She showed no difference, so they are still stumped.
She was awfully cute though!

Then Thursday we headed to Alcoa extra early to meet the allergist and immunologist where they've ordered a more in-depth blood work panel, and there are only 2 days a week & certain hours that we can be there for the blood work to be drawn.
They are wanting to start testing her IGG levels more in depth to see where her immune system is deficient specifically. Also, they are doing the SouthEast panel for allergies, because her lung function is too low for the regular skin test. Finally they have ordered a test that will see if her immunizations are even working. If they aren't working as they should, then we'll be starting all her immunizations over again. She's so brave every time we go, and y'all she is a magnet in the doctor's office. We always end up with more nurses and doctors than we should because she has the best personality & wardrobe!

The boys ended up going with us to the allergy appointment, and they all at different times crashed either on the way there or back.

{We were stopped, & Carson had already unbuckled her when I snapped this picture}

I was able to get pictures of two of my sleeping babes. Carson fell asleep on the way to Alcoa, and Knoxville 8am traffic is not the best for trying to get your 11-year old to snap a picture of his sleeping brother while you navigate stand-still traffic!

This weekend we have so much fun planned, starting with my sister and me taking my mom out for a little early Christmas surprise.

What fun do you have planned for your weekend?!

-Britt

  1. Praying you get answers soon. I can't believe you all have so much more snow than us. It's in the 40's and 50's here with no snow expected for Christmas. I am a little bummed but the warmer temps are nice!
