Friday Favorites {1.18.2019}

Y'all!!

I always feel like by the time Friday finally gets here, I'm just exhausted, and this week has been extra exhausting.

We've had one case of the stomach bug, one case of food poisoning (no more McDonald's for this family), and one hubby who is down with something awful..he's crazy sick!

I've Lysoled and bleached everything, I swear...send help!

Today I'm keeping this edition of Friday Favorites short, sweet, and to the point!

Joe's routine starts around 4:00 every morning, and he makes himself some coffee. He then leaves to go work out, and on Mondays and Fridays he goes to Bible study after working out. This past Monday he set the coffee maker to brew me a fresh pot to get me through Monday morning.

It's really the little things that make marriage so sweet!

Speaking of Mondays...don't you wish every Monday was this cute!?

This girl wanted to wear her red lipstick to cheer because we are officially counting down the days to our first competition! Thank goodness Lipsense doesn't move, but I had to use the Oops Remover while she was asleep to get Fly Girl off of her!

We got a surprise snow storm yesterday that led to early dismissals, so I snuck and grabbed the kids each a hot chocolate from Starbucks...
Because snow days should always include something special & sweet & warm!

Final favorite for the week!
I shared this first a few years ago, and every year when it pops up in my Facebook memories, I have to share it! Don't strive for perfection. Chase authenticity!

Happy weekend, friends.

Let's just pray that no one else gets sick & we can all get better. It's a long weekend here, so we are happy dancing for a Monday off!!

  2. As a teacher, I love snow storms! :) But, not if we have to make them up at the end of the year! Adding Starbucks to the joy of leaving school early I am sure made your kiddos extra happy! What a great day for them.

  3. There is nothing better then seeing your sweet little ones when they are sleeping, I can always remember their faces as little bitty babies! Have the best weekend :)

  4. I love that quote at the end. That is so sweet that Joe made you a new pot of coffee for your Monday. Yes Mama, snow days do require a sweet treat! Happy weekend!

  6. I loved this post! Your snow storm must have been a bit of a pain - btu so beautiful too. Nataleigh's 'flat out in lipstick' photo is priceless! I loved makeup too at that age but it was hideous Crayola stuff - in pillar box red grease and blue sparkly crayon for the eye. You are right about the sweet hot treats in this weather - it keeps us going! P.S. I cannot believe Joe gets up at 4am to be so productive. He must be asleep by about 8pm ( we would be anyway, we fall asleep on the sofa most nights by 8:30 haha!)
