Hey, Hey Friday!!
Who else is happy dancing out there?!
My kiddos went back to school on Wednesday, so we've all been counting down to today. We are super ready for the weekend!
The first week of the New Year is always a hectic one for the Hensleys, but it's so full of celebrations! I really think that we've had some form of cake or cupcakes every single day this week, and I'm not mad about it. Joe and I are quitting desserts and junk food next week, but not until we've celebrated everything!
Let's get right into this week's favorites!
First and foremost, today is Jojo's birthday!
Goodness I'm so thankful for him. He's hardworking, smart, and funny. He's the rock of our little family, and he is so easy to love. He has never met a stranger, and he's a wonderful friend. He's not perfect, but he's perfect for me. He's quick to forgive, and he humble enough to apologize when he's wrong or wronged someone. Our boys look up to Joe, and our girl just thinks he's the bee's knees!
Today & every day, I hope and pray you know how loved you are, Joe! We love you big, like all the way to the moon and back and hundred million times!
Speaking of birthday celebrations, my girl decided to turn 6 this week, and I swear I just need her to go back to being this little squishy, perfect little baby!
I gotta admit, however, 6-year old Nataleigh is a whole heck of a lot of fun! She's seriously the funniest little girl ever, and you can read more about how much we love our little lady HERE!
Instead of a big, silly party, we have, for the last couple of years chosen to take the babies out on an adventure and then to a small, intimate family dinner. This year Nataleigh, my mom, and I headed to Charlotte extra early to pick up the American Girl Doll of the Year, Blaire Wilson. As soon as I found out she was a 'farm girl,' I knew my little farm girl would want her!
We then walked around Southpark Mall, and this Louis Vuitton display was sooooo cool!!
After some shopping and fun, we ate a quick bite at the California Pizza Kitchen! We all wanted a little Cheesecake Factory, but the wait was over an hour at 11:00...no thank you.
She got the yummiest sundae, complete with candle for making her first birthday wish!
I then met up with my mother-in-law in Asheville, while my mom went on home. Nat opened her presents from Mimi & Popow, and then we headed to a little Mexican restaurant to meet up with Jojo and the boys!
Mimi, queso, and cupcakes make for a happy little girl!
We had the best time ever celebrating our little girl, and she has literally not stopped playing with Blaire since we brought her home!
The kiddos went back to school on Nataleigh's actual birthday [bummer], so she requested that I bring cupcakes to her class.
She may get on these boys' nerves occasionally, but they are pretty obsessed with her!
Sweet Mrs. L gave her a pixie stick!!
And only once did a kid almost knock ALL the cupcakes out of my hands. It was hilarious, and we all had a HUGE laugh about it!
Carson's sweet heart!
While we were gone to Charlotte, Carson snuck Joe's phone while they were working with the cattle at my grandparents' house, and isn't he the sweetest?! He does this often, and I could just squeeze him! Love my boys so dang much!
Our women's group at church, WOG, met last night, and it was such a sweet time in fellowship with my sisters in Christ!
We had some yummy coffee, yogurt parfaits, and a sweet message from Candace! It was just the time I needed in the middle of a chaotic week to stay refreshed.
This week I found the CUTEST headphones ever for our car dvd players at Target.
I can't find a picture of them online, but they were in the Dollar Spot at the front. They have little tiaras on the tops, and at just $5, I couldn't pass them up! I also didn't grab a better picture of them, because #SleepingBeauty!
Oh our weekend is going to be so fun! Joe and I are actually celebrating our 13th anniversary together tonight, because it falls on Monday, and the boys will inevitably have basketball practice! Now that the second half of the school year has officially started, the Hensleys are counting down to Spring Break, and we're praying for several snow days in our future!
Have you had a wonderful first week of the New Year?!
It's always such a sweet, fun week for us, and we love it!!
Happy Friday y'all!
