Weekend Wrap-Up {1.28.2019}

Happy Monday, guys!!

We had a crazy, busy weekend, but goodness, it seems like the busier the weekend, the more fun we have! I know I set my word of the year for REST, but it's just not happening yet.

It will though....maybe

Friday was a normal school day, and afterwards, we met up at a local high school basketball game to cheer on some of our friends! Then Nataleigh and I headed across the mountains to Asheville, NC to spend the night at Mimi's house. Nat's first cheer competition was about 2 miles from Mimi & Popow's house, so we spent some fun time with them.

The next morning we woke up to the yummiest breakfast before heading to the gym.
Thanks Mimi!!

Then we met up with our girls..

Smiles and sillies!!

Top Gun ready!!!
They hit the mat, and y'all, THEY KILLED IT!
They "hit zero," which means they had no deductions, and they ended the day with the best grade possible, Superior!!

 Proud of this beauty!!!
Ready for awards!!
All the goods!!

These three!!!
And somehow we got nominated to take home the trophy with us to bring back to the gym Thursday!

We left the competition and headed back to Mimi's, and Nat took the longest bath ever {because all the germs}, before we headed to run some sweet errands with my girl!
She had some birthday money burning a hole in her pocket, and she was so excited to get an ultra-rare LOL Surprise Doll!!
In her words, "it was epic!"
We then swung by my favorite grocery store to pick up a few goodies before we headed back across the mountains!

While we were doing all the things in Asheville, the boys were busy at basketball games!
[Hensley boys went 3-1 in their games Saturday, and the 1 they lost was only by 1 point]
They grabbed all the Mexican food, and then headed to the farm to help Poppy!
Joe and Carson are such a mighty farm team, and they've been known to literally tackle the baby calves to get the stuff done!

Sunday, we headed to church a little earlier & way more excited, because Jojo was preaching at our church!
Sunday Funday!!

After church, we had lunch and a meeting to go to, and then while the boys headed to one of our besties' birthday parties, Nataleigh and I headed to one of her school besties' birthday parties at Just Jump!
Thank goodness my friend Christie sent me this ONE, because Jojo 'forgot' to snap any pictures, but the boys had the best time ever playing all the dodge ball with their buddies!

These girls loved pretending to play in the hurricane simulator!
 Ready to jump!!

"She came in like a wrecking ball!!"

 Happy Birthday, sweet Presley!!

After the birthday parties, Joe and I met up with all the kiddos at the mall, so the boys could spend their Gamestop gift cards. While there Nataleigh discovered Justice!!
Then we stopped by her favorite, Claire's, where she grabbed her very own diary!

We then met up with a bunch of our friends for a quick dinner and all the coin machine fun $10 can get the kids!

We ended our weekend watching all the Royal Rumble, before crashing hard!

It was a fun, wild weekend full of all the sports and all the friends. These weekends are never easy, but goodness gracious, for a girl who swore off friends a few years ago (seriously), these weekends remind me of just how good God is. He completely healed that major hurt, and He has sent us some incredible people to do life with! Blessed is such an understatement!!

We have snow in our forecast, so we are all doing the snow dance hoping for at least one day off!

Happy Monday!

  1. What a wonderful and fun weekend!!

  2. What a fun weekend! All of Nataleigh's cheer competitions reminds me of when Liz did competitive cheer! Such great times. Going through life with friends is priceless! Glad God healed that hurt. Hope you have a great week. We DON'T want snow over here! LOL

    1. We are loving this season of competitive cheer. It's so fun, and we are loving our little Top Gun family!

  3. It sounds like such a fun weekend. Your daughter is so cute and congrats to the cheer team. I'm so sorry to hear you had some friendship drama in the past...that's the worst. Thanks for linking up with Hello Monday! Tanya - The Other Side of the Road

    1. It was the worst time of my life, but God is good..so, so good! Thanks for stopping by!

  4. Wow, that was a lot to pack in - and well done to Nataleigh and the girls - a lot of hard work and some amazing coaching I would imagine. If they are this good at this age imagine what the future has in store for them! And I must say that Nataleigh is getting SASSIER in her photos, it cracks me up. And how handsome are the boys dressed for church? C had a ton of parties to go to when he was younger, every weekend almost - I can only imagine the party chaos having three brings! But fun of course too. J xx

    1. Sassiest little thing ever! That little cheer team works so hard, and we have the best coaches ever. It's so dang fun..a lot of work, but so fun!
